n October 15, 2026, an official delegation visited the manufacturing facilities of JSC “ZKMK” in Uralsk to explore the industrial potential of the West Kazakhstan Region as part of the IMBC Oil & Gas Machinery Forum.

The delegation was led by the Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erlan Akbarov, and included members of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, executive management from JSC NC “KazMunayGas” and “PSA” LLP, as well as top executives from major oil and gas operators: General Director of “Tengizchevroil” LLP William Lacobie, General Director of “Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V.” (KPO) Marco Marsili, Deputy Managing Director of NCOC N.V. Zhandos Orazaliyev, and General Director of IMBC Dastan Abishev.

On October 16, the delegation took part in the Oil & Gas Machinery Forum and the Operators’ Open Doors session. The discussions centered on the strategic development of domestic mechanical engineering, expanding in-country value (local content), and solidifying collaboration between national manufacturers and major energy enterprises.

Following the negotiations, JSC “ZKMK” proposed entering into a tripartite agreement between NCOC, Baker Hughes (BH), and JSC “ZKMK”. The proposed framework covers the overhaul and maintenance of gas turbines and their components, centrifugal compressors, and the localized manufacturing of original spare parts for BH turbine fleets.
